Students play the role of real-life medical detectives as they collect and analyze medical data to diagnose diseases. They learn to apply the experimental design process as they work with teammates to creatively think and problem-solve medical issues through hands-on labs and projects. Like healthcare professionals, students learn how to measure and interpret vital signs, perform dissections, investigate disease outbreaks, and explore how an inner breakdown in the human body can lead to dysfunction. This course is part of the STEM, Health Science, and Human Services Career Clusters and encompasses critical 21st Century Skills transferable to all career pathways.
