The student studies art production, art history, art criticism, and aesthetics. Students recognize and use the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design in creating/ discussing and writing about art. This is a studio art course; most activities and assignments will involve making art. All projects involving art projects begin with a demonstration of media and techniques. Art production assignments include preliminary technical exercises, sketches, and research. Recommended foundation course. Graduation Credit: Fine Arts
