High School Credit for Courses Taken in Middle School

New Washington State legislation requires the Clover Park School District to automatically add any high school course taken at the middle school to students’ transcripts. Those courses include Algebra and Geometry. The transcript will reflect the credit as well as the letter grade, and the letter grade earned while in middle school will become part of the student’s official grade point average (GPA) for high school. According to state law, high school graduation credit for courses taken in 7th or 8th grade may be removed from the high school transcript upon request by the student and parent/guardian prior to the end of the 11th grade. Algebra and Geometry qualify under this provision. (RCW 28A.230.090)

Algebra I, Geometry, Washington State History, Spanish I, Spanish II and Heritage Spanish.
