The purpose of the Advanced Placement (AP) course in statistics is to introduce students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. Students are exposed to four broad conceptual themes: Exploring Data; Sampling and Experimentation; Anticipating Patterns; and Statistical Inference. This course also prepares the student for the AP examination administered by the College Entrance Examination Board. Credit for Graduation: Mathematics
