In Careers In Education students learn the knowledge, skills and practices of the education career field. The course focuses on the general theory and practice of learning and teaching; the basic principles of educational psychology; the art of teaching; the planning and administration of educational activities; and the social foundations of education. This course meets standards and competencies from the Early Childhood, Education and Services and the Family and Community Services sections of the Family and Consumer Sciences National Standards are attained by students.
